Happy Birthday Teri!

Today is my Wife's birthday and I just want to wish her a good one. A great one, why not?
Been kinda slacking in my dedication to Live Arcade. We gets 2 games this week again. A pinball one and an Eets one. Whatever that is. I'll have to check them out. I have to. Its my duty. Figured out that I can set the 360 to download new Live Arcade demos as they appear. Comes in handy.
Been also slacking in the Paper Mario business. Its awesome so far. Yummy, if you will.
Also on the yummy menu is Elite Beat Agents. I waited too long to play it and I like it alot. Very silly Japanese type game for MAX enjoyment. I also picked up Pokemon Diamond. Brings me back to good times. I like it so far. Its a bit of a grindfest, but I don't mind.
Checked out Gameworks last week for my brother-in-law's bachelor party. The arcade was truly alive and kicking. Got to play Supernova on a dedicab. I do like the flatscreen they got. The image just looks sharper than mine. They also had Afterburner Climax. Didn't try it but it was nice and very smooth. Must have just come out last year.

Supernova Oni Course Full Combo!

I have had Supernova in my basement since end of last year and I finally passed the 8 song Challenge course "SuperNova" . Not that its hard, its just long. Wookie Wookie gave me alot of problems for the longest time with its crazy step-jump pattern. Now, not only did I pass the 12 minute course for the first time ever, I got a full 2200+ combo. Jeez. Must be my day. Gonna try "Sparkle" now. Innocence of Silence is whats causing me to fail. Gotta practice that song more.
Song and course info is here http://www.konami.jp/bemani/ddr/na/am/sn/

In somewhat pleasant news, SuperNova 2 goes on test here in the states end of May. http://www.bemanistyle.com/index.php?news_id=270 That means the game is still months away from completion. Oh, what I wouldn't give to check it out in Illinois.

Final Fantasy for PSP

Its coming real soon and I can't wait. Probably the 4th version of this game. What's next? Hey. Where is the cell phone version? Anyways, it looks great.
I finally got a video up on YouTube now. Nothing interesting really. Just something I tried to do for my mom. The first 8 seconds are blank, but the rest is the birthday party we had for my dad last year. I'll post some more videos when I find interesting ones. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DfplB8uIagU Gonna have to post under CowlauncherX since Cowlauncher is taken. I would love to do game reviews or something, but its so hard to be interesting and nerdy at the same time. I wish I was like the AVGN but less angry. That guy can edit the crap out of a video. Ever see his Freddy Krueger review. He "clones" himself and shows 4 of him playing the game. Probably a simple trick, but not in my book. Good show, ol' chap. Good show indeed.

Hola Senoritas

Hey guys. What up? How they hanging? I'm ok, thanks for asking. Lets get to some happy updating!

Virtual Console has granted us all access to the great classic Punch Out featuring Mr Dream for the NES, Bonk's Revenge for Turbo, and Virtua Fighter 2 for Genesis. Punchout was an instant download. Played around with it for a bit.

Xbox Live gives us not 1, but 2 games this week. It looks like we get Gyruss and Mini Golf Adventures...according to Joystiq.com. Wow. 2 games is a step in the right direction y'all. Give us a little something to choose from. kthx.

So I almost finished the quest mode in DDR Universe for the 360. Bottom line, I am impressed with it. I said it before, its not without flaws, but overall its a solid mix. My one big complaint is the first song pack. You are paying $10 to simply unlock something that is already on the disc. That's kinda weak. I think the next song pack needs to come soon and at a slightly cheaper price. I do need to vent about something here though. Why is Paranioa Evolution the final unlock song for winning the dance battle in quest mode? Paranioa Evolution? Its not a bad song, but its been featured in countless mixes already. Give us a new Paranoia mix or something. I know...Fascination is pretty hot right now. Give us one of them, huh? Ok. done.

Sega announced Sonic Rush Adventure for the DS. I have not played the first Sonic Rush yet. I hear its excellent. I'm getting to it. Image at the top since I don't know how to post one here.
Comp USA is going out of business in these here 10,000 lakes. Had a chance to check out the Ridgedale store. Not too shabby. They had video games for 20%+ off. Some great deals, but I couldn't find anything too worthy.
Looks like they are building a Best Buy in Shakopee just a stone's throw away from Fort Cowlauncher. Could be spendy times ahead.

We Talk Games

I'm not a big webcast kinda guy, but I enjoyed listening these guys. Pretty much talk about the stuff I like. You know, Virtual Console and classic goodness. http://wetalkgames.com/

Sorry for the lack of updates. Not too much going on here. Still playing WoW and DDR Universe. Also playing through Hotel Dusk again. That is a pure classic to be treasured. Of course it is sold out everywhere, so if you find one, buy it. I command you. My next game to play on the DS will be either Puzzle Quest or the Final Fantasy Chocobo game.

Disney's Tower of Terror

This is perhaps one of my favorite rides in all of Disney World. It has an awesome atmosphere about it and I can ride it all day long. Somebody made a Half Life map for it and it is absolutely amazing. The only thing missing is the gift shop at the end of the ride. http://www.thedisneyblog.com/tdb/2007/04/virtual_tower_o.html

This Week of 4-2-07

Guitar Hero 2 is set to rule the 360 today. Not sure if I'm getting it yet since I have the PS2 version. Circuit City is throwing in a 1600 points card if you buy the game for a whopping $90. Makes it more doable.
Wii unleashed Starfox 64, Dragon Curse, and TMNT NES this week. Starfox is still the classic I remember.
XBOX Live Arcade shall give us all Luxor 2. Looks very Zuma-ish. Not a bad thing. Maybe I can get the wifey to indulge.
Gamefly STILL wants me to come back. I thought I was getting a good deal to come back with these emails, but they are showing up constantly. $15 a month ain't a bad thing. Too bad MMORPGs and dancing games take up the bulk of my time.
I do share alot of time with my DS. I have been hooked hard on Hotel Dusk. The "game" is really just an interactive mystery novel, but its more than just reading. The graphics, style, and characters all have a unique feel. Puzzles range from bland to somewhat unique. One of the puzzles involves you actually closing the DS shell and opening it back up. The story is good and really starts coming together in the end. I am on chapter 10 right now and I'm sad to say that this will all end soon. There are multiple endings too, but I'll have to get to them another time.
New DS game this week is Square Enix's Chocobo Fairy something or other. Its a collection of mini games all rolled up and sprinkled with their collection of game characters and themes. Worth a looksey.

Everquest April Fool's Patch

Not the funniest thing I read in awhile, but nuggets of comedy dwell.
