Way too much going on

Long story short. I got my PS3 today. Love my Wii. Zelda is awesome. So is EQ2 and WoW and DDR. Heroes was great. $4 XBOX games at Burger King are surprisingly playable. Wii s are officially sold out everywhere until Friday morning and this link is a good read about the Virtual Console. http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3155418

Playstation 3

Well the PS3 is finally out. Sure there were muggings and various forms of violence but its all worth it, right? Shoot, I just checked Ebay and there are a little over 30,000 systems up there. All ranging from $1400-$2000. In fact, there is some guy that was able to get 4 of them from a Target store. Hi location is Savage, MN. Wonder who that smart guy is. Wish it were me. I should be getting my system in 2-3 weeks. The current plan is to play it for a bit and sell it in mint condition on Ebay. Or I just might sell it and cook up some story about how I was about to lose my house and needed to money.

I'm thinking Wii. That's nothing new. I got the Wii mote on the brain. Played a little Excite truck today and me likey long time. Only 24 hours away. Heck, not even.

Ebay auctions are going well. Got almost $50 for the Castlevania I payed $8 at Blockbuster for last year. And I got 2 more to put up.

Final Fantasy V is eating up most of my time these days. Almost as much as WoW. For a GBA game, its amazing. The graphics are spot on and the translation is very good. The only thing that could have used a boost is the music and sound effects..but not much.

DDR Universe finally gets a SKU and release date. 2 release dates actually. The bundle ships Feb 27th and the stand alone game ships March 27th. I bet. Either way not bad. I hope they put some effort into it like they did with Supernova for PS2.

I also picked up Everquest 2 Echoes of Faydwer. Not bad so far. Started a summoner on a different server. The game seems even easier than it was when I quit. Not sure thats a good thing. Started in Greater Faydark.

Didn't make me smile

Sony just announced even lower than expected launch quantities for the PS3. I'm no oracle but I could have predicted this a mile away. The thing I don't get is why are people so bummed about it. Look at the launch line up. Its all ports from Activision and EA. The only original titles are Resistence, Ridge Racer 7, and Genji. Big whoop. Me? I'm in it for Ridge Racer. Kinda sounds silly spending $600 to play 1 game don't it? It may have to just end up on Ebay in December. I can't believe what those units are fetching now! http://ps3.ign.com/articles/745/745601p1.html
On the weekly conference call at Gamestop, it was said that employees have to wait to pick up their PS3 anout 2-3 weeks. Total bummer dude. Go Wiiiii!
Speaking of Wii, early reviews for Zelda sing nothing but praise. I guess the graphics kinda stink, but the gameplay is phenomenal. I am really looking forward to Sunday. So is Tommy. Even Joshifer who is hooked on WoW harder than me is lining up at Walmart with his buddies to get one Sunday morning. Nothing but good times lay ahead folks.

The more I think about it, the more I want to unload fragments of my gaming collection on Ebay. I want to find them a good home. I want to make a few bucks on the side. I just wanna get rid of this crap. Its piling up in my storage room. Its kinda ridiculous. I could be perfectly happy playing XBOX Live Arcade and the Wii virtual console.

Made me Smile

This is an awesome video of the packaging of the Wii and Zelda to a bouny tune. Enjoy.

Ebay Auctions

Just a start. I'm just cleaning out my closet. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcowlauncherQQhtZ-1

Video Game History

This week will see the release of an ungodly amount of games. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/13/new-games-this-week/

I won't be able to pick up half the games I wanted due to the release of PS3 and Wii. Also, I had to spend $300 to fix my PC. The video card ended up burning out and I picked up the GeForce 7800 AGP. Needless to say, WoW looks gorgeous. Turned out that my power supply wasn't strong enough the keep the video card up so I had to upgrade from 300watt to 500 watt. Expensive but well worth it.

I'm not keeping up on the DDR like I want to. The latest Internet ranking ends this Wednesday and my scores are crappy to say the least. I'll really try for the next rankings. I hope.

Not even sure if I work at Gamestop this week. The district manager cut their hours by 8 and I work 6 of those. Sounds funny considering they expecting over 50 brand new SKUs.

I was thinking about unloading some stuff on Ebay. My collection has grown so much that it is almost unbearable to look at. And with a baby on the way, I won't have any time at all. I've done this before. I sold thousands of dollars worth of games on Ebay only to buy them back. I'm thinking of selling some small stuff like Japanese comics and old strategy guides. Heck I might even sell Oblivion and Phantasy Stay Universe. I don't even play those anymore.

Oh yeah. Gamefly has been trying to get me to come back for a long time now. They keep sending me offers to return. Are they desperate? Not sure. Maybe I was their best customer =)

Free of WoW...for a few hours

I'm glad the servers go down once a week for 8 hours. Gives me time to do other stuff. You know...Like play some Supernova, FF12, and even check out Gametap. Oh yeah and that whole housework thing.

Speaking of SuperNova aracade, I don't think Konami could have done much better with it. The amount of songs in the machine just blows me away. The courses are all within the realm of Possibility except for that Max of Maxx course. The graphics are pretty and I can't wait to unlock some of the boss songs.

Was dinking around on the Gametap service. One whole year for $59 is the current deal and it works for me. I think the latest count on games is 720+ . I did however try to download Baldur's Gate, but it takes 2+hours. Otherwise, most games are 3min or less.

Picked up Neverwinter Nights 2 as well. It was hyped up nicely at E3 and looked great. So far I haven't gotten much further than the tutorial, but it seems solid. Its a D&D game so I'm gonna have to read the manual on it. Started a bard.
I miss my Everquest bard. That was so much fun until they destroyed the whole Soloing thing.

Speaking of Everquest, the game is still chugging along just fine without me. They pumped out another expansion a few weeks ago called Serpent Spine ( i think i mentioned it before) and it looks good. So does the freakin' EQ2 expansion coming out next week. Times like these make me want to clone myself. There simply are not enough hours in the day. Even if I hit Powerball and quit my job, it wouldn't be anywhere near enough.

Gotta really put more effort into the Supernova Internet Rankings. There is no way to compete with Team Japan in this, but I wanna see how high I can put my name on those boards. Plus, its a good way to take off some of this WoW tummy. The 3rd ranking ends on the 15th. I'll post some #s then.

Egads

I just signed into WoW at 930 on a Monday night and the wait to get in is 15 min. Jeez. Glad I'm not raiding tonight. Been working on my mage pretty hardcore. I am liking the DPS thingy alot.

Final Fantasy V comes out in 13 hours and I am good to go. My DS is charged up and ready. This might be the first portable game that will be played at home as well as work. I can finally see the English version of a Japanese game that I played over 80 hours of over 10 years ago. The Playstation version did not cut it for me with its ridiculous loading times and sub par translation.

Other items of interest this week are Elite Beat Agents, Gears of War, and Viva Pinata.
