Nintendo Powaa
Fl0w and Qbert are now available for the PS3 from the store. Haven't gotten to them quite yet though. Ridge Racer 7 demo and Destruction Derby for the PSP also hit the PS Store too. Also available this monday on Wii....Zelda Ocarina of Time. Maybe I'll beat it sometime before I die.
I prefer to buy those points cards from the store. Not that it makes a difference, but I like to have something material for my purchase. Maybe its a disorder I have to one day be able to say "look at all these redeemed points cards that I have. I am hardc0r3!" I also buy the WoW and SOE time cards too. Every game I downloaded with the Wii, I used a card for. So naturally, I am always on the hunt for them. No stores ever seem to have them on hand and Gamestops get one a week. I was looking on Ebay and stumbled on this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/2000-Wii-Points-NEW-SEALED-UNUSED_W0QQitemZ180085875515QQihZ008QQcategoryZ147176QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I logged in to Gametap today since WoW, Vanguard, and Xbox Live are all down. The service is still rolling along well and is now about 850 games. Jeez. I was scrolling around and I noticed a few Japanese Genesis games available including Puyo Pop. I never heard of Pyramid Magic, a Lode Runner kinda game. There is an air hockey game called Paddle Fighter and I'm pretty sure that Battle Golfer Yui never made it to US shores either. I still stand by the fact that for the money, Gametap is a great deal.
As some of you know, I am coocoo for retro gaming. Therefore, Mondays are just may be my favorite day of the week (since it starts my weekend too). Nintendo has done a good job providing content for the Wii every single Monday. This week stars Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, Streets of rage for Sega, Adventure Island for t-16, and Legend of Kage for NES. I'll have to be honest and say that I never spent too much time with any of these game. I never owned Streets of Rage (gasp!), Adventure Island, or Kage(pronounced Ka-geh). I like Donkey Kong Country. It was a pretty good game. It certainly wasn't a classic in my eyes. Not sure what it was. It just lacked the charm of games like Sonic and Mario. I remember getting that VHS video in the mail from Nintendo promoting it. I think I still got it around here somewhere. Now I need to hook up that darn VCR.
Ah..to be rich. I'd have the largest game collection known to man and Ebay would be my playground to buy buy buy. I liked this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/Wii-GAME-SYSTEM-PLUS-4-MORE-COMPLETE-NINTENDO-SYSTEMS_W0QQitemZ190081558865QQihZ009QQcategoryZ62054QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Was in Best Buy yesterday and I noticed that they had about 2 dozen Wii Play games. It was odd only because they didn't make it to Gamestops or other stores until today. Very rare for Best Buy to beat the competition. I should have picked up a couple just to try and sell on Ebay. Since the game comes with a free Wiimote, they are going for $65+ now. I guess Wiimotes are still very hard to find. The game itself is not supposed to be that great. Only a handful of the mini games are actually worth it.
Its no secret that it was in the works. Heck, I stumbled upon a pdf file hidden at Betson's website. http://www.betson.com/images/pdfs/coindrop_issue2.pdf. I even got credit for posting it on DDRfreak by a little site called Bemanistyle.com. Kinda made me feel good. Anyways, the pdf indicated that 200-300 new songs would be added. I highly doubt that.
My updates are gonna have to be small but many. I'll try and sum up the last 2 months.
What's up y'all? Just been a bit lazy about the blog lately. I'm sorry to all my loyal fans (all 3 of you). I'll update with wonderful and interesting tidbits about all things Cowlauncher. Stay tuned. You may be disappointed.
