This Week's Famitsu

This week's issue had some juicy pics of DragonQuest IX for DS and Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP. Also covered a soccer arcade game and Rhythm Tengoku which was not as interesting looking as I expected.

Also got the new issue of Play Magazine. I really like their layout. Nice stuff with crisp sharp pics.

Been playing TMNT on the 360 today. Much better than I expected. Its got some personality, but the fighting kinda gets boring. Made it to level 5 so far. Man, the achievements are easy. I'll probably have them all unlocked by the weekend. Gives me something to do.

For the Wii, I finally wet myself when I saw they released F-Zero X from the N64 days onto the Virtual Console. Probably my favorite version of F-Zero except for the arcade one. The N64 version was nice and fast and introduced some very amazing track designs and music remixes. Kinda bland by today's standards.

My son Jacob is doing great. I need to buy a digital camera so i can update my blog and Myspace pages regularly.

Muchi Muchi Pork

This arcade shooter was in the Famitsu that I got. Looks like a vertical Parodius type game. The heroes(?) of the game are portly women with crazy fire power. It will never come out over here. Never. =(

I hear from Bemanistyle that SuperNova 2 will be unleashed in Japan August 8th. Which means the game will probably come out here end of August or September. I am looking forward to it and I hope they fix many of the minor problems I had with the first one.

Oh yeah. Final Fantasy 1 for the PSP this coming week. Word.

Elite Beat Agents Video

Very tough stuff. On the subject, I bid on the Japanese versions of the EBA games. Just got them in the mail. I want to rank up a few times before I dive in to the imports.

DDR Universe

Ok, we know this came out over 3 months ago. Why has there not been any content updates for it. With the awesomeness and convenience of Marketplace, they should be adding content regularly. The only thing they had so far was the 10 songs available at launch for $10. They weren't even downloads either. They were unlocks. Boo!
New episode of NoobToob is out now. I am starting to really like these guys. They have good energy and humor. Things they really like this week are Planet Puzzle League for DS (which I just got), the Overlord demo on Live, and PacMan C.E. Speaking of Live, there are over 70 game demos (not arcade) available. Thats a lot of content for free right there.
Blizzcon is sold out. I was considering going, but I guess thats out of the question. Maybe E for All? I doubt it.

Famitsu Get!

Finally! After almost 3 full months, I get issue one of my subscription from Amazon. Words of the English language cannot express how much this magazine means to me. Every time I went to Japan, I would check the first Lawson store i would see after I get off the plane for a copy. I had my friends send them to me airmail. I can't read the articles, but I can enjoy the pictures, charts, and overall geek charm this mag has. This issue features FFXII Revenant Wings and Taiko Drum Master for the DS. I'll post more soon.

Elite Beat Agents

I really been hooked on this game lately. It gets freakin hard near the end of the game. You can full combo a song and still lose half way through if your beats aren't perfect. I hear you can unlock female agents and even Commander Kahn. Gonna try and go for that.
Even with little Jacob here, I still have been playing WoW. Not ready to aquit just yet. I need my daily dose of MMO goodness. Not too much going on there though. Leveling my lowbie alts through the rested XP.
I am also enjoying Pac Man Champion Edition for the Xbox Live. Its addicting as heck.
